Long before Abraham Lincoln became the 16th President of the United States of America, he was a hunter.
A vampire hunter.
That is the premise of this delightful book by Seth Grahame-Smith. An intriguing, modern-day introduction sets the tone of this novel as a biography. Grahame-Smith mixes historical people and events with flights of fancy and dark imagination. Strangely, as goofy as the entire idea is, this book lays our evidence quite well and almost convinces the reader that vampires secretly running the US is completely plausible.
Recommended for lovers of biography, 19th century history, and vampire hunters, hopefully all at the same time.
Solid 3.5/5 stars.
